The Best Time Investment

It’s been a while since I have written a blog. In fact, this is my first formal communication for 2022. In years gone past, I would’ve stressed out about this – big time!! This year I have decided to let that go! There are a few reasons for this.

The first is, 2022 started in such an unwanted way that caused even more chaos and clutter to our lives, I really didn’t want to add to that unless I was adding value.

The second is I gave myself the gift of time to ensure how I was leading myself and how I was taking action was in complete alignment with who I am and where I want to be. Alignment is my word for 2022 and I find being anchored to it very powerful in sanity checking how I think and operate.

The gift of time has been so refreshing. It’s not that I have taken time out perse, it’s more that I have used my time differently. To be more strategic rather than just pushing through to get sh*t done. This is what I have been historically really good at and I feel now must change so I can level up and elevate.

I will be sharing more about this in weeks to come on my podcast and in my blogs. There’s been lots happening behind the scenes with some exciting things to come.

This week, I am delighted to be delivering a keynote for International Women’s Day on Overcoming Imposter Syndrome across Asia Pacific. I have also been invited to share my tips on how women can challenge the status quo and #BreakTheBias, the theme for IWD for this year. Of course, this is not a women’s issue and my message is directed to the collective ‘we’.

The above is an example of what can happen when you have absolute clarity on who you are and what you want to achieve. Opportunities present themselves to you that are in complete alignment with your passions. So the time I have invested in getting clear on this has been more than worthwhile- in fact it’s been a critical success task.
