“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are
and change the ending.” ―C. S. Lewis
One of the most consistent things I have heard people say they are thankful for this year is connecting back to what is really important to them. They are grateful for being reminded about what really matters.
Almost everything we did at a business, personal or societal level was disrupted this year and it has certainly been the year for redefining priorities. We now have the opportunity to take the lessons we have learnt and make decisions for 2021 that are in alignment with our priorities.
We now have an opportunity to draw a line in the sand and create the future that will make us happy and one that will are proud of with the benefit of the forced reflection that 2020 provided. We don’t simply need to re-enter the world in the same way we left it. We can enter it anchored by a solid set of values and priorities and live life on our terms. Rules have been broken, boundaries have been changed and the opportunity for change is there for you to embrace.
I encourage you to get clear on your lessons and how you can take these for the betterment of your future. December is the perfect time to do this so you can kick off your 2021 on your terms.
I wish you all the very best for the rest of your 2020. My hope for you is you can connect with those who are important to you and spend this special time with those you choose and who bring you joy and happiness.
My end of the year will be focused on doing this and spending time with my family. It will most likely be the last Christmas we will be as we are this year so I plan to be present and soak up this special time with them.
See you back in 2021.
